Beginning May 1, 2025, Thailand will implement the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system, requiring all foreign nationals entering the country by air, land, or sea to complete the digital form within 72 hours prior to arrival.
The TDAC system is designed to streamline the entry process, replacing the traditional paper-based TM6 form. By digitizing arrival procedures, the initiative aims to enhance efficiency, reduce paperwork, and improve data accuracy for immigration authorities.
Travelers will need to submit personal information, travel details, and other relevant data through the online platform before their journey. Upon submission, a QR code will be generated, which must be presented to immigration officials upon arrival in Thailand.
This move aligns with Thailand's broader efforts to modernize its immigration processes and adopt digital solutions for better service delivery. The TDAC system is expected to facilitate smoother entry experiences for visitors and bolster the country's tourism sector by leveraging technology to meet international standards.
