Founded in 1917, Chulalongkorn is Thailand’s oldest university and is often regarded as a symbol of academic excellence. It offers a wide range of programs across disciplines including engineering, medicine, social sciences, and emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and climate science.

Education officials and industry leaders have welcomed the news, noting that strong academic institutions like Chulalongkorn play a crucial role in preparing Thailand’s workforce for a rapidly changing global economy. The university’s emphasis on research collaboration, technology development, and social responsibility has positioned it as a key player in driving national development.

Chulalongkorn continues to expand its international collaborations, with exchange programs and joint research initiatives involving leading universities around the world. University officials say that ongoing efforts to internationalize programs and increase research funding are central to maintaining and improving its global standing.
